Chilly weather persists, mercury drops to 14.5 Deg C
New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) Winter climes seem to have arrived in Delhi! With Diwali marking the beginning of Winter season, just round the corner, Delhi today continued to witness a fall in minimum temperature, leading to chilly nights and mornings.
The minimum temperature, continuing its downwards movement since the weekend, dropped to 14.5 degree Celsius, from 15.6 degree C yesterday.
The maximum temperature, however, rose slightly to 32.6 degrees C.
The next few days could, however, witness a slight abatement in chill with the weathermen forecasting a rise in minimum temperature to 17 degrees C tomorrow. The maximum is also likely to rise slightly to 33 degrees C tomorrow.
The met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with the likelihood of mist or haze in the morning.
