Cavalry's Day at Bhopal-Pataudi Polo Cup

New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) Santigo Cernada slammed six goals as Cavalry White overwhelmed NDA/Sahgal Stud 8-4, while Cavalry Red's raced past Kingfisher First 7-5 on the opening day of the Bhopal-Pataudi Polo Trophy here today.

Speraheaded by Argentine Professional Santigo Cernada, Cavalry White dominated the proceedings as the match turned out to be a one-sided affair. Vishal Singh (two) was the other scorer for the winners.

Angad Singh, Navjit Sandhu, Atul Gupta and Rajesh Sahgal scored a goal each for NDA/Sahgal stud.

The second match saw two of the tournament's best teams -- Cavalry Red and Kingfisher First -- taking on each other.

In a thrilling encounter which kept the spectators on the edge of their seats, Cavalry Red's stomped home to a 7-5 victory over Kingfisher First.

Santiago De Estrada (2), Tunku Ismail Ibrahim, Vishal Chauhan (2 each) scored for the winners, while for Kingfisher First, Angad Kalan (4) Abhimanyu Pathak (1) were the goal getters.
