New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly Jagdish Mukhi today said the continuing accidents by the Blueline buses were a result of the inactiveness of the Delhi government.

''If the Government had taken concrete steps in time, Delhiites would not have seen these black days,'' Dr Mukhi said.

In this context, he said in 2002, the then Delhi transport Minister Ajay Maken had sugegsted some solutions to streamline the transport system in Delhi.

''He (Mr Maken) had suggested to carry out 45 projects in six months, 31 works in 6-12 months and five works to be completed in one to five years time. But those projects have been dumped in dark corners of the transport department and none of the projects have been implemented till date,'' Dr Mukhi said.

Alleging that the series of accidents by Bluelines had led to a sense of insecurity among Delhiites, Dr Mukhi demanded that the Chief Minister step down on moral grounds.
