New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) The All India Congress Committee today denounced the armed attack on Tamil Nadu Congress Chief M Krishnaswamy, and asked the state government to bring the culprits to book at the earliest.
"It is a matter to be condemned in the harshest words," AICC General Secretary in charge of Media Veerappa Moily told UNI here today.
He said the party was hopeful that the M Karunanidhi government would take steps to identify the culprits and bring them before law.
Mr Krishnaswamy escaped a bid on his life when he was attacked by an unidentified armed gang at Keezha Kannicheri near Mudukulathur in Ramanathapuram district, last night. He was, however, admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Madurai with stab injuries.
