TNCC President stabbed

Chennai, Oct 29 (UNI) TNCC President M Krishnasamy was stabbed in his stomach by an unknown assailant at a village near Kamudhi in the southern Ramanathapuram district, this evening.

According to reports received at the TNCC headquarters here, the incident took place when the Congress leader visited the village for a flag hoisting in connection with the Thevar Jayanthi celebrations.

A profusely bleeding Mr Krishnasamy was rushed to the Apollo hospital in Madurai, the reports said.

Details about the condition of Mr Krishnasamy was not immediately known.
