Ten killed in road accident

Begusarai, Oct 29 (UNI) Ten people were killed and fifteen others sustained multiple injuries in a road accident on National Highway-28 near Sahwadhala under Sahebpur Kamal police station area in the district today.

Police said a jeep and a truck collided head on near Sahwadhala in which nine people died on the spot while another succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.

Fifteen people sustained serious injuries and were rushed to local sadar hospital where the condition of ten injured was stated to be critical, sources added.

The deceased belonged to Mokama and Barh areas in Patna district.

The victims were on the way to Devi temple in Khagaria district to perform special puja.
