SP MP's gunner among 3 held for loot

Muzaffarnagar, Oct 29 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ameer Alam's gunner along with two others were today arrested for committing robbery at the house of a trader in Kotwali area of the district.

On October 22, armed men had stomed into the house of Krishna Mohan and decamped with cash and jewellery worth several lakhs of rupees.

Acting on a tip-off, Alam's gunner Ramveer Raghav and two others were nabbed in this regard and the booty comprising gold worth Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 72,000 in cash was recovered from their possession.

The other two accused were identified as Ayush alias Monu and Kuldeep alias Monu Thakur.

On interrogation, the accused disclosed that the MP's gunner was the mastermind behind the loot, police said.

Earlier, Raghav had also been the gunner of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) former MLA Sushila Agarwal.
