Sindhia urges Governor not to allow JD(S)-BJP to form government

Bangalore, Oct 29 (UNI) Janata Dal(S) rebel legislator P G R Sindhia today urged Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur not to give a chance to BJP and the JD(S) to form another coalition government in the state.

Speaking to reporters after submitting a memorandum to the Governor, Mr Scindhia and the other suspended JD(S) MLAs said that both the parties had abused each other on the streets over the issue of transfer of power.

Stating JD(S) which had demanded dissolution of the Assembly had now made a U turn and approached the Governor supporting the BJP to form the government.

The other MLAs who accompanied Mr Sindhia included B R Patil, H Y Meti and H C Mahadev. Mr Vaidyanath Patil, who was expelled from JD (S) also took part in submitting the memorandum.

The governor assured to take appropriate action after receiving the memorandum, he claimed.

Meanwhile, Jnanpeeth awardee and noted writer Prof U R Ananthmurthy also urged the Governor not to allow the two parties to form a government in the state.

In a letter to the Governor, he said that they had failed to provide a good governance in the state.
