Islamabad, Oct 29 (UNI) Pakistan today said it would host the third meeting of the interior Ministers of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) next year.

''We will also hold meeting of the SAARC police chiefs as part of a decision to boost cooperation among the law enforcement agencies of the member states,'' foreign office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq told a press briefing here today.

He added that it was decided during the recently held second meeting of SAARC Interior Ministers in New Delhi that SAARC police chiefs will meet twice a year to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in their field.

An electronic network of police authorities of SAARC countries will be established. Experts will meet in February next year to work out modalities of the network.
