Mumbai, Oct 29 (UNI) Some 50-odd paintings, artifacts, semi-abstract and other realistic works, showcasing creation and talent of dockyard artists will be on display at the the Akruti Exhibition, to be held at the Coomaraswamy Hall of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vatsu Sangrahalya here, from tomorrow.

The two-day exhibition will be inaugurated by the President of the Navy Wives' Welfare Association (NWWA), Western Region, Kanwal Bedi, a Ministry of Defence release said today.

During the event, a stall will be setup by the NWWA showcasing creations by the families that are part and parcel of the Naval community, and the displays will pertinently be congruent to the theme of the 'Yera of the Naval Family 2007'. The event is part of the 'Naval Dockyard Week' celebrations.

These artistic works have come out of the freetime of the Naval dockyard personnel, who while serving the nation, put across their thoughts and imagination over the canvass through the fine work of brush.
