Maruti Suzuki Q2 net up 26.95 pc at Rs 466.50 cr

recorded
a
26.95
per
cent
jump
in
its
net
profit
at
Rs
466.50
crore
for
the
quarter
ended
September
30,
2007,
as
compared
to
Rs
367.44
crore
in
the
same
period
a
year
ago.
The total income of the company also rose from Rs 3,540.89 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 to Rs 4,735.83 crore during September 30, 2007, a company statement said.
The company's domestic sales during Q2 (July-Sept 2007) grew 17.8 per cent over the same period last fiscal. The company sold 1,91,325 vehicles during the quarter, including 15,171 units of exports.
During the first half of this year, Maruti's sales grew by 17.5 per cent in the domestic car market. In the same period, the A2 and A3 car segments grew faster showing a growth rate of 21.9 per cent and 57.7 per cent respectively.
