Huge farmers' agitation in Delhi tomorrow

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) Scores of farmers from several states will be converging in the capital tomorrow for a massive demonstration to press for their demands such as compulsory nation-wide crop insurance, pension schemes and remunerative prices for agri products.

Top leaders from the CPI, CPI(M), Forward Bloc, RSP, Samajwadi Party, Telegu Desam Pary, NCP and RJD will address the agitators.

Farmers will be coming from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Pudicherry, Orissa, Manipur and West Bengal, said an All India Kisan Sabha spokesperson.

Their demands also include an assurance that there will be no acquisition of farmers' cultivable land and a less than four percent kisan credit interest rate should be implemented, he said.
