Nagaland: Ganja worth Rs 1.25 lakh seized

Kohima, Oct 29: Kohima police arrested two persons at Jotsoma check-gate yesterday for smuggling 250 Kgs of contraband ganja.

Official sources said in the routine frisking at the Science College outpost at Jotsoma, police detected the contraband in 24 neat packets in a car flashing a red VIP light and sporting a fake government registration number.

The contraband was worth Rs 1.25 lakh in the local market, sources said.

The arrested were being interrogated and their car has been seized.
