Jaipur, Oct 29 (UNI) Evaloc, a special fatty acid emulsion film coat evaporation retardant technique has proven effective in checking evaporation from lakes and dams saving over 9 million cubic meter water loss since 1983 from over 50 reservoirs in different parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnaktaka and Tamil Nadu.

According to a report submitted at the 12th World Lake Conference here today, self spreading ultra thin emulsion film technique of a fatty acid compound is being used in several lakes and dams and other water bodies effectively to check water loss by evaporation.
