New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) A local court has summoned a person on a petition filed by his wife demanding a monthly share of his husband's income to meet the education expenses of their daughter.

In her petition before Metropolitan Magistrate Amit Bansal, Manju Gaur, who was thrown out of her house by Rajendra Gaur in June, said: ''she wants Rs 50000 per month from her husband's income to take care of the expenses of their daughter's education and upbringing.'' She demanded a total amount of Rs 5 lakh for the same.

Earlier Manju, married to Rajender since 1993, had filed a complaint with the police alleging that Rajendra, a Manager in private company, used to often beat her.

She alleged that her daughter, studying in the eighth standard in Vyankateshwar International School, did not want to meet her father despite several attempts being made by him to meet her.

The Judge has prohibited the accused from meeting his daughter till the next hearing.
