Lucknow, Oct 29 (UNI) Vowing to absorb the pep-talk given by senior BJP leaders L K Advani and Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh unit of the party, has announced to launch political aggression to make its presence felt ahead of the possible Lok Sabha polls.

Mr Advani and Mr Singh, who were here to address the state party working committee on October 27 and 28, had predicted an early Parliamentary elections asking the state unit to be in a state of preparedness.

Taking cue from what party leadership thought about the UP BJP unit, the state party president Ramapati Ram Tripathi told reporters here today that the BJP might be down but was certainly not out.

''We are enthused by the words of encouragement from the party leaders that time is good to improve the prospects of BJP in UP to pave the way for power at the Centre in the Lok Sabha polls,'' he said.

The UP BJP president said the party would launch an offensive against the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party in the state from November 18 to 22, would reach the people and expose the misdeeds of the Mayawati government. He said the agitation, which would be launched at district level, would be intensified in the near future.

Terming the Mayawati regime as the most corrupt and anti-people government in the state, Mr Tripathi said the agitation would be on the hard issues like non-payment of dues to cane growers, deteriorating law and order, plight of farmers and spread of caste politics in the state.

In reply to a question, the state BJP chief said the two-day working committee meet was highly successful with several issues discussed to evolve ways and means as to how party could regain its lost glory.
