Alfa Laval 9-month net at Rs 68 cr

Pune, Oct 29 (UNI) Alfa Laval (India) Limited, a Swedish multinational based in Pune, has reported a net profit of Rs 68.005 crore for the nine-month period ended September 30.

The net profit over the nine-month period is nearly the same as the net profit registered over the entire 12-month period last year, a press release here today said.

The company registered a 27 per cent rise in the sales turnover at Rs 186.902 crore as against the sales turnover of Rs 147.484 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

The pre-tax profit for the said period was Rs 36.558 crore as compared to Rs 32.581 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal, the release said.

With a good growth in the order intake of Rs 610.5 crore during the nine-month period ended September 30, the cumulative results of the company reflected a 15 per cent growth in the total income at Rs 507.996 crore.

The sales revenue of the Company's two segments comprising Equipment Division and Process Technology Division has been encouraging. The exports emanating from the Equipment Division recorded an impressive growth while parts and service business recorded a significant growth of about 22 per cent, the release said.

The orders at hand as at the end of the third quarter was Rs 441.6 crore, higher by about 23 per cent over the same period last fiscal.

The Company's Board of Directors has declared an iterim dividend of 100 per cent (Rs 10 per share) on the equity shares for the year ending December 31.
