By Staff

Ludhiana, Oct 28: Canada based Russian wrestler George Kiriakou (Nikita) today tender unconditional apology to all the Indians particularly mediapersons with whom he had misbehaved during press conference held here on October 25.

In his apology letter issued here today, he said, ''I had uttered some indecent words targetting Indians which had hurt the sentiments of Indian people at large. I want to express my regrets towards all the Indian people, whom I hold in high regard, for my misbehaviour.'' ''I have great respect for India as a country. My anger on that day was due to emotional outburst resulting from sudden cancellation of wrestling matches for which I was preparing with great enthusiasm.I hereby take back all the indecent words uttered during the press conference and I hereby promise that in future also I will refrain from such behaviour.'' ''India, Russia and Canada have strong political and cultural ties and I hope that this apology will help in mitigating the embarrassment caused to Russian people due to my indecent behaviour,'' he added.
