Thane, Oct 28 (UNI) All roads lead to 'Parshuram' village in Chiplun Taluka of Ratnagiri district, the seat of Lord Parshuram, for the 'Parshuram Dham Yatra', a mega event slated for the second week of November.
The Yatra, which is termed as 'Samaj Jodo Yatra', organized by the Lord Parshuram Sena, a newly floated organization, will be led by Shankaracharya of the Kasi Sumeru Peethadeshwar Jagadgura, Narendranand Saraswati.
The Yatra will arrive on November 15, at Parshuram, on the hills near Chiplun, where 'Abhisekh' and Aarthi will be performed at the hands of Shankaracharya.
Giving details of the programme, which has been organized to awaken the masses, the President of the Organisation Om Prakash Sharma and its Vice President Acharya Subash Sharma, said the yatra is not confined to one trip alone and it was a continuous process and will go month after month till the people need it.
The temple of Lord Parshuram, which is more than 300 years old, was renovated in 1698 at the hands of Shree Bramhadev Swami. The temple was visited by Shivaji Maharaj and Sambaji and various other Maratha leaders.
