Low pressure intensifies into depression, more rains likely
Chennai, Oct 28 (UNI) Yesterday's low pressure over the South East Bay has intensified into a depression and lay centred about 480 km east-south east of Chennai today.
It is likely to intensify further and move in a west north westerly direction towards Andhra coast, Met sources told UNI.
Under its influence, rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at several places in north coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next 24 hours.
The rains would be heavy at times and fishermen were advised against venturing into the sea.
The Tamil Nadu government has declared a holiday for all the schools in the state tomorrow due to the rains.
