IndianOil, Air India and BPCL get full points
Jalandhar, Oct 28 (UNI) All three teams from Mumbai, IndianOil, Air India and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited earned full points from their respective matches in the 24th Indian Oil Surjit Hockey Touranent, being played at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here today.
In the men's section, runners-up IndianOil defeated Sports Authority of India, Delhi by 8-1, Air India, Mumbai defeated Punjab Border Security Force, Jalandhar by 2-0 while Bharat Petroleum, Mumbai beat Punjab National Bank, Delhi by 2-1.
In the last match of the day, Air India, Mumbai defeated Border Security Force (BSF), Jalandhar by 2-0. The winners were leading by 1-0 at half time. Airmen took the lead in 28th minute when skipper Girish Pimple scored a field goal (1-0). In the 28 minute seasons campaigner Len Aiyappa converted the penalty corner.
