Hassan District recorded heavy rainfall in the State

Bangalore, Oct 28 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at many places over coastal karnataka and south interior karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over north interior karnataka.

Very heavy rainfall amounts: Arsikere 15, Sravanabelgola 14.

Heavy rainfall amounts: Dharmasthala 10, Ballupet, Hassan 7 each.

Other chief rainfall amounts (cm) Shirali, Sringeri, Kottigehara, Sakleshpura, K R Pet 6 each. C R Patna, Dudda 5 each Kalasa 3, Mani, Puttur, Udupi, Honavar, Jayapura, M M Hills, Ponampet, Ramanagara, Channapatna, Huliyurdurga, Agumbe, Chikmagalur 2 each.

Maximum temperatures rose at most places over south interior karnataka and changed little over coastal karnataka and north interior karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over coastal karnataka and were normal over interior karnataka.

Minimum temperatures changed little and were normal over the state.

Gulgarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 32.5 degree celsius and Mysore recorded lowest minimum temperature of 17.4 degree celsius over the state.

Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over south interior karnataka, at a few places over coastal karnataka and at isolated places over north interior karnataka.

Farmers weather bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of south interior karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of coastal karnataka and at isolated places over all districts of north interior karnataka.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over south interior karnataka during next 48 hours.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy with one or two spells f rain/showers maximum and minimum temperatureswould be around 25 degree celsius and 20 degree celsius respectively.
