Court to record Pravin Mahajan's statement tomorrow

Mumbai, Oct 28 (UNI) A special court will record the statement of Pravin Mahajan, accused in the Pramod Mahajan murder case, tomorrow.

Eyes of the media are on Pravin's statement tomorrow. It needs to be seen as to whether his statement will throw some light on the motive of the case, which is yet to be ascertained.

However, according to eyewitness account, Pravin had killed his elder brother and BJP leader Pramod Mahajan for not fulfilling his demand of Rs one crore, during the testimony.

Now, Pravin is calling a witness for cross-examination.

Meanwhile, Additional Sessions Judge S P Davare has already chalked out further programme in the case.

Tomorrow he will record the statement of the accused. On October 30, he will isuue the summons to the defence witness. On November 1, the defence witness will examine and from Novemebr 12 arguments on the evidence will commence.

The prosecution has examined 32 witnesses, including BJP leader Gopinath Munde, Rekha Mahajan, Poonam Mahajan-Rao and others in the case.
