Rainfall occurred in few parts of the State

Bangalore, Oct 27 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Kundapur 3, Arkalgud, Sravanabelgola, Kollegal, Gundlupet 2 each, Mangalore, Napoklu, Bhagamandala, Somwarpet, Alur, Belur, Halebeedu, Hoskote, Devanahalli, Chikmagalur, Hassan 1 each.

Maximum temperatures appreciably fell at many places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at most places over Coastal Karnataka, however appreciably below normal at many places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Minimum temperatures appreciably rose at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 32.2 Celsius and Mysore recorded lowest minimum temperature of 17.5 Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Coastal Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather may prevail over all districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy with one or two spells of rain/showers. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 27 degree celsius and 20 degree celsius respectively.
