Novel agitation by cheated nidhi depositors

Puducherry, Oct 27 (UNI) Depositors of the Pondicherry Nidhi Limited (PNL), who were cheated by the management, today resorted to a novel agitation to get back the money.

The Depositors Protection Committee, which had been organising a series of agitations, held a prayer at the Akkasami Mutt here seeking the blessings of the almighty to get back their deposits totalling over Rs 100 crore.

They also pulled the golden chariot at the Manakkula Vinayagar Temple here.

The police had already arrested directors of the company and the government was taking steps to recover the money.
