Nitish to discuss Bihar with Prime Minister

Patna, Oct 27: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today left for New Delhi to discuss issues related to the state with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Mr Kumar is scheduled to call on Dr Singh at around 1700 hrs and apprise him of the situation in the state.

Constitution of a special committee under the Prime Ministers Office to negotiate with the Nepal government for construction of a high dam to solve the annual flood menace was on the top of the agenda of the meeting.

Mr Kumar would also raise the power crisis issue and personally request the PM to solve the problem by sanctioning additional electricity to Bihar as a special case.

He would discuss the strategies for infrastructural development with national and international cooperation.
