NCP youth wing protests against Modi
Nashik, Oct 27 (UNI) The youth wing of the Nationalist Congress Party held demonstrations at Dwarka Circle here today to condemn Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's alleged role in the 2002 Gujarat riots.
The activists tried to burn an effigy of Mr Modi. However, the police prevented them from doing so and seized the effigy.
Nearly 50 activists took part in the agitation. They were led by the state unit president of the front, Ranjan Thakre.
The agitators were demanding a probe into Mr Modi's involvement in the Gujarat riots. They also demanded filing of a case against Mr Modi under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
