Heavy rains likely in Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Kerala

Pune, Oct 27(UNI): The Northeast Monsoon has been active in Tamil Nadu.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Lakshadweep and at many places in south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in coastal and south interior Karnataka, at a few places in north coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Telangana.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

Heavy rains have occurred at many places in Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Kerala, Lakshadweep, at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and at a few places in Rayalseema and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in coastal Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, and were above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, interior Saurashtra, Kutch, coastal Karnataka, and in some parts of south Madhya Maharashtra. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Rayalseema, north Tamil Nadu and in some parts of south interior Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Manipur, Vidarbha, and in some parts of north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada. They were below normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Orissa, Jammu, southeast Madhya Pradesh, and in some parts of Gujarat and in remaining parts of Marathwada. They were above normal in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Rayalseema, coastal Karnataka and in remaining parts of Gujarat. They were normal over the rest of the country.
