Mumbai, Oct 27 (UNI) Cathay Pacific Airways has bagged the prestigious 'Airline of the Year' award at the recently held 18th TTG Travel Awards ceremony in Bangkok.
This is the second time in the history that the Hong-Kong-based Airline has achieved this distiction, Cathay Pacific was also named as the 'Best North Asian Airline', an official statement by the Airline said today.
Cathay Pacific has also picked up one of the industry's top maintenance honours with the 'Best Asia Pacific Airline MRO Operation' 2007 award at a ceremony held in Shanghai on October 16, the statement added.
Started in 1989, the highly-celebrated annual Awards honour the best players in the travel industry. Starting with just ten awards, today TTG presents 66 awards across four different categories.
Winners for two award categories -- Travel Agent Awards and Travel Supplier Awards -- are determined by the votes cast by TTG readers across Asia Pacific.
