Chittorgarh, Oct 27 (UNI) In a virtual reference to the ongoing dissident activities in the Rajasthan BJP, former deputy prime minister Lal Krishna Advani today called upon the party rank and file to project a disciplined image of the party otherwise it might cost the party dear in future elections.

Speaking at the BJP state executive meeting at the Sawanliaji town near here, Mr Advani heaped praises on the achievements of the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP Government in the state but hastened to warn that only good performance of the state government alone could not deliver the goods at the hustings.

He said, ''If the party and its workers' image is not good among the masses, if there is an impression among masses that the party and its workers are indulging in infighting and indiscipline, it may cast its shadow on the election results.'' He said he wanted to warn and counsel all the partymen to realise the fact and behave accordingly.

He said he did not want to warn only those who might be indulging in indiscipline activities but also wanted to underline the fact that maintaining discipline and showing restraint was the responsibility of all partymen and they all should realise it.

Mr Advani said there might be differences of opinion and shortcomings at some points but those should not be made public and instead be resolved at party fora.
