Nuke deal failure not to deter foreign investment
Washington,
New
Delhi,
Oct.
25,
2007:
US
Treasury
Secretary
Henry
Paulson
said
that
failure
of
the
Indo-US
nuke
deal
is
not
likely
to
deter
foreign
investment
in
India
or
hurt
U.S.
relations
with
the
country.
The comments came after the Indian government and its Communist allies agreed to hold one last meeting over a nuclear deal next month, clearly indicating that New Delhi had backtracked on pushing the pact into the backburner.
