New Delhi, Oct 26 (UNI) The public sector FCI Aravali Gypsum and Minerals India Ltd (FAGMIL) today presented a dividend cheque of Rs 1,46,59,600 for the year 2006-07 to the Chemical, Fertiliser and Steel Minister Ram Vilas Paswan at a function held here.
The cheque was handed over to Mr Paswan by Sunil Dayal, Chairman and Managing Director, FAGMIL. The Secretary, Department of Fertilisers Dr J S Sarma was also present on the occasion.
Engaged in mining of mineral gypsum and supplying it to agriculture sector and others, FAGMIL sold 8.96 lakh tonnes of gypsum during 2006-07. It earned Rs 11.51 crore profit before tax over sales turnover of Rs 37.07 crore during the year.
The company is planning to diversify into other minerals like Phosphate and SMS Grade Limestone.
