''Elecrama-2008'' to be held in Mumbai next year

Chennai, Oct 26 (UNI) "Elecrama-2008", the world's largest trade fair for power sector, will be held in Mumbai from January 18 to 22 next year.

The biggest electrical and electronics industries exhibition of Asia, Africa and the Middle East would be organised by the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA) with the theme "The future of power is here".

Talking to newspersons here today, Elecrama Chairman Vimal Mahendru and IEEMA Director General Sunil More said this B2B fair would provide an ideal platform for Indian and foreign companies to showcase their products that could cater to power generating capacity demands.

The exhibition would address issues like innovative energy technologies as well as equal integration of renewable and conventional energy sources.

It would have international seminars on switchgear industry, cables and wires industry and rotating machines industry.

More than 1,000 companies, including 150 firms from 40 countries, would participate in the fair.

There would be biggest participation from Germany, China, Korea, Taiwan, Sri Lanka and Italy.

''We are expecting about 1,00,000 visitors during the five-day event'', Mr More said.
