Kohima, Oct 26: At least six NSCN militants were killed in separate inter-factional clashes in Nagaland's Dimapur district yesterday, official sources said here today.
According to the sources, the warring NSCN-IM and NSCN(K) factions clashed at Medziphema area of Dimapur and in the Borlengri area along Assam-Nagaland border.
The clashes started with the killing of two NSCN (K) cadres by the rival faction in Medziphema area following which the NSCN-IM cadres retaliated at 3rd Mile area there, sources added.
Police recovered a body of a NSCN(K) militant from the Mao Colony area yesterday.
In yet another incident, one NSCN-IM activist was killed in a shootout in the Borlengri area.
The bodies of both the factions have been identified so far.
