Patna, Oct 25 (UNI) Railways today dismissed the allegations levelled against RJD about booking of 35 trains for its rally on October 28 in Patna without paying the requisite charges.
The railways also clarified that the party had deposited the sum in accordance with rules to hire the said trains for transporting the supporters to participate in the rally.
In a release of East Central Railway(ECR) issued here, the Railways maintained that it offered the special trains to any group on payment of charges in accordance with rules.'' There is nothing unusual in booking the special trains for RJD after receiving the requisite charges'', the sources added.
''In Uttar Pradesh, Railways had earlier made available 17 special trains to BSP while eight special trains were booked for LJP for their rallies in Lucknow respectively after realisation of requisite charges from them'', the sources said.
