Hyderabad, Oct 25: The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh today alleged that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was ''obsessed'' with the Indo-US Nuclear Deal.

Talking to reporters here, Party spokesperson M V Mysoora Reddy, MP, said ''even if the deal was operationlised now, the country will not be in a position to enjoy the results before 2020.'' Denial of permission to TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu to call on the Prime Minister at New Delhi yesterday to press for a hike in Minimum Support Price(MSP) for paddy to Rs 1,000 per quintal, was a ''great insult'' to the farmers in the state, Mr Reddy added.

Stating that nuclear power was not the ''only issue'' confronting the nation, the Rajya Sabha member said the Centre should immediately concede the ''just'' demand of farmers.

Referring to the issue of notice by a Zilla Parishad officer to the Ramoji Rao film city, part of the group of firms run by a noted media baron, he said the Congress Government in the state was all out to wreak political vengeance as the daily owned by the group exposed the Government's ''lapses''.
