Patient's attendants thrashed by doctors in Haryana
Jagadhri, Oct 25 (UNI) Attendants of a patient were today allegedly thrashed by the doctors of the Civil Hospital at Yamunanagar when they demanded an ambulance for shifting her to another hospital.
Giving details police officials here said that Mukesh, the brother of Prem Lata, the patient, sustained head injuries in the scuffle with the doctors and para-medical staff of the hospital. The attendants wanted to shift their relative as her condition had deteriorated after an operation performed at the hospital.
Besides the brother, the father and husband of the patient were also thrashed by the doctors.
The police registered a case against the hospital staff on the complaint of the relatives of the patient. Later the police also registered a case against the attendants as the hospital staff claimed that they were hindered from discharging their duties by the patients relatives.
