MP's minerals to be processed in state itself
Indore, Oct 25 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today spoke of a resolve to process the state's minerals in the state itself.
''A chain of industry will be started based on material found in Madhya Pradesh. Utilisation of our abundant forests, water and mineral wealth will lead to employment opportunities,'' he said while addressing the foundation stone-laying ceremony of a Rs 500-crore, 120-acre Diamond (cutting and polishing) Park at nearby Rau Industrial Area.
While pointing out that diamonds were being obtained in Chhatarpur district's Baksaha block besides Panna district, state Commerce and Industry Minister Jayant Malaiya claimed that the Park would be of international standard.
''It will also have a training centre with capacity to train about 2,000 youth, a Jewellery Mall and International Convention Centre,'' said Industrial Centre Development Corporation Managing Director and Collector Vivek Agrawal.
