Mosque, cotton mill, damaged in Kashmir fire incidents
Srinagar, Oct 25 (UNI) A mosque, a cotton mill and several houses were damaged in different fire incidents across the Kashmir valley overnight, police said today.
The mosque was damaged in the fire, which broke out at Dooniwara in Lolab area of Kupwara district in north Kashmir last night.
Four shops and a residential house were also razed to ground in the blaze, they added.
In another fire incident, a shop was gutted at Jugtiyal in frontier district of Kupwara.
Fire broke out in the cotton mill which engulfed and destroyed three other residential houses at Baba Demb, Kalashpora here last evening, police said, adding electric short circuit was believed to be the cause of the fire.
