Aizawl, Oct 25 (UNI) About 20 government middle schools in Lunglei district of Mizoram have decided to hold the Hindi subject examinations in the coming Middle School Leaving Certificate Examinations, even with the unavailability of Hindi teachers.

The Lunglei District Education Officer (DEO) said here today that the school authorities had taken the decision after Education authorities assured to make some arrangements for the schools.

Earlier, the schools had decided to abstain from holding the Hindi subject examinations as they did not have Hindi teachers since the past one year following their transfers to urban areas, while some of the schools had no Hindi teachers since the past two years.

The DEO arranged for some persons from the respective villages temporarily to teach the Hindi subject in exam-oriented methods so that the students could score at least pass marks in the subject.

However, the students were apprehensive of their performance in the subject, sources said.
