Congress to capitalise "anti incumbency" sentiments in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Oct 24 (UNI) Newly nominated Rajasthan Congress Legislature Party leader Hema Ram Chaudhary today said Congress would work unitedly to capitalise people's ''anti incumbency'' sentiments against the Vasundhara Raje Government and to stage a come back into power in the next assembly elections due by the end of 2008.

Talking to reporters after assuming the charge of his new post from outgone CLP leader Ram Narain Chaudhary in the Rajasthan Assembly complex here this afternoon, he said people of the state were annoyed with the present BJP led government and were ready to oust the government in the next assembly elections.

Mr Chaudhary said the Congress would capitalise the anti BJP sentiment among the people and would adopt effective measures to expose its failures, misrule and anti people policies.

The mission would begin with the next budget session during which the Congress members would ensure proper presentation of all burning issues and means for bringing the government to the dock in the house.

He said Congress Chief Ms Sonia Gandhi had entrusted him the responsibility of winning the faith and confidence of all party workers and gear up the party for wresting power from the BJP in the next elections.

He said ''although I was not in the race for the post of CLP leader but since the Party Supremo Sonia Gandhi has entrusted the responsibility on him he would work hard to realise the goal.'' Earlier, Mr Chaudhary formally took over the charge from outgone leader Ram Narain Chaoudhary. Congress state President CP Joshi, working President Paras Ram Mordia, Congress Whip Zuber Khan and several party MLAs were present.
