Shimla, Oct 24 (UNI) The BJP today issued strict warning to party activists not to rush to media for getting nomination in the coming assembly elections and said it would attract disciplinary action.
The party has taken strong note of a few party leaders who were trying to put pressure on the party by rushing to the media and would taken strong disciplinary action in future, state party president Jairam Thakur said in a statement.
Some leaders with the help of vague organisations are publishing repors in the newspapers seeking tickets is for candidates of their likeness, BJP considered it as an indiscipline and would initiate action against those behind it, he said.
Mr Thakur said the party has adopted a transparent process for the selection of candidates for the asembly elections and the names have to come through party unit at the block level.
Those who have anything to say should choose party playform to express it instead of rushing to the media, he said.
The BJP would not hesitate to initiate disciplinary action against people disobeying the directives in future, he added.
