Prisoner dies under suspicious circumstances
Hyderabad, Oct 23 (UNI) A remanded prisoner of Cherlapalli central jail died under suspicious circumstances here today.
Cherlapalli central jail authorities told UNI that 40-year-old prisoner Lakshmayya complained of severe stomach pain this morning and was rushed to the clinic in the jail.
But as his condition worsened he was shifted to Gandhi General Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Meanwhile, Gandhi Hospital Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Venkateswara Rao said the prisoner was brought dead and the body was sent for post-mortem.
The prisoner was in the jail for the last two months in connection with a case filed against him by the Vanastalipuram Police under Section 324 of IPC.
