Kallyanpur, Oct 23 (UNI) As many as 210 students will participate in a ten-day NSS pre-Republic Day Camp here from November 12.
Talking to newspersons today, NSS Regional Centre Programme Adviser H S Suresh said students from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka would participate in the camp.
He said the Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry had sanctioned Rs 4.89 lakh for the camp to be inaugurated by Labour Minister Oscar Fernandes.
During the camp, 30 volunteers would be selected from the participating marching and cultural contingent for the 'Republic Day Camp' at New Delhi.
The Regional Centre had taken steps to promote self-financed NSS units in educational institutions and proposed to set up 100 such units in the state this year, he added.
