Poland's Tusk confirmed by party as PM candidate
WARSAW, Oct 23 (Reuters) Poland's Civic Platform, which won Sunday's parliamentary election, confirmed today that party leader Donald Tusk is its official candidate for prime minister.
Tusk still has to be nominated by President Lech Kaczynski, the twin brother of Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski who lost the election called after two years of turbulent rule.
''I have received my party's recommendation to become prime minister,'' Tusk told a news conference.
