Puducherry, Oct 23 (UNI) The PMK today urged the administration to conduct the winter session of the Territorial Assembly for ten days.

Adressing a press conference here, after the PMK legislature party meeting, party leader Mr Anantharaman said since several issues were to be discussed it was not fair on the part of the government to conduct the house for one day. From next year onwards, the house should be convened once in every three months, he added.

PMK had organised a massive procession and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister seeking 'separate reservation' for minorities, for which he promised to take action within ten days.

The government should make clear in the Assembly what action it had taken so far in the issue besides explaining why the government failed to implement the schemes announced by the Chief Minister in his Budget speech.

The party also wanted the government to refrain from acquiring fertile land in rural areas for non-agricultural purposes.

The party would seek to clarify the issues in the house tomorrow, he added.
