Pepsico to launch fruit juice soon

Panipat, Oct 23 (UNI) Beverage maker Pepsico today said it will launch an orange juice-based beverage very soon in a phased manner.

''In the first phase, our new orange juice will hit the southern India followed by the rest part of the country. Juice drink market is growing twice the rate and will continue to grow faster than any beverage category,'' company's Executive Director (external affairs and export) Abhiram Seth told reporters here.

The drink will be manufactured at its Aurangabad plant in Maharastra, he said.

When asked about the company experimenting with the juice based drink segment in other favour, he said, ''We want our range to be occupied in the entire flovour category with multiple price so that we can reach wider audience.'' The company is also planning to foray into milk and milk-based drink segment but refused to divulge any concrete details.

''We are examining the possibilities in milk and milk-based drink sector, which will hit the market in two to three years,'' he added.
