DM's bodyguards jailed for their involvement in eve teasing

Siwan, Oct 23 (UNI) The court of Sub-divisional Magistrate Komal Ram today awarded 14 days judicial custody to the two bodyguards of District Magistrate S K Mull in connection with cases related to eve teasing, arms act and attempt to murder.

Both bodyguards Shakti Singh and Prithvi Tudu were detained by the police yesterday in connection with the shootout and for molesting some women on the occasion of Dusshehra near Kali temple under town police station.

The bodyguards were produced before the court after filing of named FIR during the day and were sent to the jail later on.

Earlier, both bodyguards had allegedly molested some women and opened fire when their attempts were resisted by the relatives of the victims. Three people were injured in the shootout.

The two seriously injured people were undergoing treatment at the Patna Medical College Hospital, while the third one was undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
