In a message sent to President HU, Party General Secretary A B Bardhan said, ''Our party has keenly followed the deliberations of the 17th party Congress as reported in the media.'' ''It is a continuation of the Marxist world outlook that has guided the CPC and generalised the vast experience that the party has gathered in the course of its victorious march.
We are confident that it will help solve problems that have arisen against the backdrop of China's rapid economic growth,'' he stated.
Emphasising that China would benefit tremendously under his leadership, Mr Bardhan said, ''We wish all success to the communist party of China under your leadership in its endeavour to build a harmonious socialist society with its specific characteristics, and look forward to growing ties of friendship between China and India, between the two peoples and further strengthening of the fraternal bonds between our two parties.''
