BJP, CPM concerned over drinking water scarcity in Shimla
Shimla, Oct 23 (UNI) The BJP and the CPM units of Himachal Pradesh today expressed concern over the continuing drinking water scarcity in this historic town and said the problem negated the state Government's claim of all round development during its four and half years in power.
In separate press releases, both the parties blamed the successive state Congress governments for failing to solve the drinking water scarcity in the town despite remaining in power for several years.
The government that had failed in providing drinking water has no moral right to stay in power and claim all round development of the state, they said.
Expressing surprise over the development, the parties said the water crises just before the winter season was all the more confusing as their was no natural reason to it than administrative failure.
